From the supplier: Business schools must evolve in response to the changes in the marketplace. The skills and abilities of business graduates cannot remain the same over the years in view of the rapidly changing nature of the business environment. A growing number of business school are recognizing these shifts and are redesigning their curricula to integrate emerging business issues. Schools are establishing partnerships with companies, giving rise to guest lecturer programs, cooperative research and joint projects. In some institutions, MBA programs are focusing less on the development of analytical skills and more on the enhancement of communication skills. At Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, for instance, programs such as ‘Individual Effectiveness’ are being implemented to produce MBA graduates who possess good interpersonal skills, business communication acumen, individual goals and career direction.
